Warner Bros. released a total of nine pictures after yesterday’s announcement (you know the one). One of them contain Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) awkwardly hugging a flirtatious Lavender Brown (Jessie Cave). The image is sort of LQ since WB hasn’t really send any of the sites any official images at the moment. Either Sarah or I will update with HQs as soon as WB sends them out (and as long as we’re awake).
A brand new Lavender Brown picture has surfaced online in the newest issue of Entertainment Weekly. A short quote follows the picture.
By turns giggly and bossy, Lavender pursues Ron, who foolishly indulges her interest just to make Hermione jealous. “When I first read the part, I thought, ‘Oh, this is the girl nobody likes,’” says Cave, 21, who makes her film debut. Luckily, the cast “couldn’t have been more welcoming,” she says.

Warner Bros. has just announced that the release date for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be delayed and rescheduled to July 17th, 2009. The film will no longer be release November of this year. Here’s what Warner Bros. have to say about the reschedule:
“In making the announcement, Mr. Horn stated, “Our reasons for shifting ‘Half-Blood Prince’ to summer are twofold: we know the summer season is an ideal window for a family tent pole release, as proven by the success of our last Harry Potter film, which is the second-highest grossing film in the franchise, behind only the first installment. Additionally, like every other studio, we are still feeling the repercussions of the writers’ strike, which impacted the readiness of scripts for other films—changing the competitive landscape for 2009 and offering new windows of opportunity that we wanted to take advantage of. We agreed the best strategy was to move ‘Half-Blood Prince’ to July, where it perfectly fills the gap for a major tent pole release for mid-summer.â€
A new trailer for the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince video game has debuted online. You can watch it below. I don’t think there’s any sighting of Lavender, but I might be wrong.
There’s also a quote regarding the character of Lavender:
When we got back on track with Ron we encountered a girl named Lavender Brown (Ron’s lady friend). Someone had cast a spell on her books so that they were flying around and she couldn’t get them down. By levitating her bag we were able to catch her books in the air and save the day.
For those of you who remember that I sent Jessie a package earlier this year. Well she replied, I received it about a month or so ago, and she included 2 brand new photoshoot pics, which I’ve scanned and thought it was about time I posted them.
Jessie isn’t featured in it but I thought I’d post it again for those who haven’t seen it yet.
